As we live our normal lives, we tend to perspire to regulate our body temperature. Most of the sweat just dissipates unnoticed in the air. But if our sweat does not have a way to evaporate, the moisture builds up. This is most noticeable on our armpits and in our footwear. If the moisture is not removed quickly, bacteria begin to eat the sweat and produce the odor we smell. Keeping our footwear dry is the answer eliminating smelly feet.

bullet

To eliminate foot odor, practice good foot hygiene to keep bacteria levels at a minimum. Change your socks and shoes at least once a day.

Dry Guy boot dryers are for athletes who play soccer, football, baseball, lacrosse, etc. Wet cleats get cold and damp from moisture buildup. By using a boot dryer and removing the moisture, your feet will feel warm and dry.

bullet

To prevent your shoes from smelling you can purchase charcoal absorbent insoles that will absorb some of the odor. The only down side to shoe inserts is they need to be changed regularly.

Moisture builds up in ski boots when ski boots get wet. Many people suspect that their boots have sprung a leak. This is highly unlikely given the quality of boots manufactured today. What's more likely is that the moisture us coming form inside the boot. Of all parts of your body, your feet have the highest number of sweat glands per square inch. The insulating material absorbs moisture before moving in vapor form toward the shell of the boot. As vapor approaches the shell, it meets cold temperatures and condenses. Over time the buildup in moisture reduces the boot's ability to insulate the foot, diminishing body temperature 25 times faster than air.

bullet

To eliminate foot odor, practice good foot hygiene to keep bacteria levels at a minimum. Avoid wearing nylon socks or plastic shoes. Instead, wear shoes made of leather, canvas, mesh or other materials that let your feet breathe.

bullet

Fungus grows in your shoes, gloves and boots because it's moist and dark. The fungus will continue to grow, smell and live in your shoes or boots until the moisture is removed. Boot dryers eliminate the moisture and thereby killing the fungus. You're left with warm, clean, odor-free, moisture-free, warm boots, gloves and shoes.
